DESIGN AND PRINTING OF ZINE 'KOTSIUBYNSKY: BETWEEN CINEMA AND LITERATURE'

In collaboration with the Dovzhenko Center.

Cinematic texts on Kotsiubynsky's film adaptations. The publication is created for the occasion of the writer's 160th anniversary at the Book Arsenal. In its design, I aimed to convey movement, a variety of colors, and color as an emotional state… Personally, Kotsiubynsky's works feel like the heat after noon, the sun at its zenith, but a storm is about to pass any moment, shedding cherry blossoms to the ground, making it a bit easier to breathe, though the soul feels heavy.

Inside the luxurious book-box, there's a hidden festive room with a bookshelf. The child collects 31 real books, which they will keep in their library. The tasks included: defining the product style, designing the cover, selecting illustrators, coordinating their work, preparing for printing, and being present during production.

Illustrations and design for the Persian poem by Nizami Ganjavi about the tragic love story of Layla and Majnun, popular in the Middle East, especially in Azerbaijan, Iran, and Tajikistan. The basis of my illustrations also lies in the parallel between celestial bodies (sun-man, moon-woman). The illustrations are created using the silk-screen printing technique with gold and black inks at the PRINTOSTAN workshop.

An original project centered around a 13-year-old girl from Kyiv in the 19th century. At its core is a fictional diary written by the girl. It's a story that delves into old Kyiv, filled with sugary memories, childhood innocence, coming-of-age experiences, the gritty tales of the adult world, and the legend of Tereshchenko, who supposedly showered Kyiv with sugar.

The cover design for Valerian Pidmohylny's novel "Nevelyka Drama" (A Small Drama) from 1930. The story revolves around the collection of feelings, people, and stories from books. It's a wonderful and exceptionally beautiful novel. While reading it, I felt like I was strolling through 1930s Kyiv. For the cover, a model of the main character in the form of a porcelain figurine was specially created, subtly propped up from behind.
